[Ukitake is outside of his house, hair wet and water dripping off the clumped-together edges. He looks tired, but...

...it's not raining on him.]

I've put up some barriers around the house. If the weather doesn't get too horrible, they should hold and we should be dry.

[He looks off to the side and then points his PCD to the fish pond. Which is getting rather soggy around the edges.]

My concern is if this floods. Water travels underground and I could extend the kidou through the ground, but even I am unsure how deep it needs to go. In the event that the water gets out of hand, we'll....need to drain the pond.

[And it sucks because he loves that pond, loves the fish inside, but if the house is in danger, then he will have to make sacrifices. Dammit.]

Just keep an eye on things and try to stay safe. And dry-

It's all right. Maybe you could help elsewhere? If this keeps going on for days, there will be a lot of water that needs to be displaced somehow.

I'm hoping so. It's a bit difficult, since I have to worry about melting, if I manage to, say, freeze water to keep it from getting into places it shouldn't, but I should be able to figure something out.

Yes, and kidou may work as well, but for both it may take quite a bit of effort to evaporate or keep out the water with those methods, as it seems they would need constant attention. Ice, at least, can be made to melt slowly.
