Cough 021 - [Video Post]

[The feed opens with the sight of Ukitake coughing into his free hand.  Luckily, no blood can be spottted.  Yet.]

Ungh...my apologies.  Even with the weather clearing up, it seems that it has finally caught up with me.  [Cough.]  It's what I get for traipsing about in the snow.

[He tucks himself into bed, propped up on pillows again.  This is a normal pose for the Shinigami, as friends have and will come to know.  Sniffling, he speaks again.]

I should be back to myself within a week or tw--

[There must have been a tickle in his throat because he's coughing violently now, red visible through the cracks of his fingers before the feed ends.]

[He's still just a kid at heart, but he knows when he's lost. He closes his eyes and smiles gently.]

I'm used to it by now. It's become another fact of life.

[His eyes widen in surprise when the sake comes out. Isn't he a sick man who needs to take care of himself?]

I'd greatly enjoy it, as long as sempai thinks it wise, of course.

I've been holding up as best as I can. I guess after all of the excitement of the last couple of months, my body decided to tell me to relax...in a way.

[He takes a sip, falling easily back into the familiar routine.]

And I...I think I've deepened a friendship. At least, I hope I have. Honestly, I'm not too sure what I've done.

[And after saying that, he almost wishes he could have told Kyouraku first. There are just some things a bro has to know.]
