Cough 031 - [Video]

[Ukitake is in the kitchen, smiling excitedly.  On the counter are various food items:  White rice, green tea, and some prepackaged toppings in different flavors.  Ukitake is sure his PCD is still acting up and transmitting in Japanese, so for those who don't speak it, he gestures to the food as he speaks.]

私はお茶漬けの 材料を発見した。 お茶漬け。

[He points to himself, then holds a hand over his chest, over his heart.]

それは私の好き なものを --

[Here, the audio resorts to static, cutting off what Ukitake is saying, before it comes back in.

To Arabic.]

-- أود أن محاولة بعض ، وأنا على استعداد للمشاركة.

 

[Again, he gestures to the ingredients, and holds his palms out toward the PCD before shutting it off.]


[ooc:  The Japanese roughly translates to, "I found ingredients for ochazuke.  Ochazuke.  It is my favorite thing--"  The Arabic roughly translates to, "--would like to try some, I am willing to share."]

[Ukitake just smiles and raises his index finger, curling it toward himself repeatedly. Come here, he says.]

[Squall goes to the kitchen and sees the mess that's currently being made. Saying nothing and trying hard not to look, he peeks around Uki's shoulder. His tone is good natured but he still can't resist busting chops.]


So..besides making a mess of the place..what exactly is going on here?

[He's just about ready to start cooking the rice and- HOLY CRAP PERSON BEHIND HIM.

Ukitake manages to steady the bag of rice so it doesn't spill everywhere.]

Heh, that could be a bad habit, Arashi.

I'm making ochazuke, which is my favorite thing to eat back home. And there's no mess, you're just protective of your house.

[Squall can only put his face in his palm at the words he's hearing.]

It..used to be my house..now it's just..gotten crazy.

That's what happens when you collect people.

[Squall sighs.]

That kid is a bad influence, but I suppose you're right, it's just like back home.

She was fun, though.

I'm glad I come from a large family. Otherwise, this house has the potential to drive someone at least a little nutty.

[He sighs again]


Guess I'm gonna have to go look for another one then.

I'm gonna have to start soon, this place is just..filling up. I never expected so many..to be here.

[Squall claps a hand on Uki's shoulder]

Don't worry, you and Rin have the papers, so you two will always have a home.

[Squall sighs and appears thoughtful]

Besides..maybe when I find a new place..it's time..to move on and move in there to get away..from the memories of this place.

[He listens to Squall, knowing just what, and who, he's referring to, while stirring the rice.]

[Squall shrugs.]

He's gone and that's the fact. Even if he did come back the same, if he's not the one from home, it won't matter anyhow. I'm done with all of that.
