[This week sees Ukitake in battle mode...at least when it comes to the snowball fight.  This is serious business, after all, folks.  He has hair pulled back in a ponytail once again, his hair tied with his red scarf.  Yes, he's announcing his team affiliation, but he has faith in himself that he can take anything you people throw at him.]

I wonder if the Animus have anything nastier up their sleeves after this.  This almost seems too carefree for them.

I had a feeling the Animus weren't really so kind as they're making out. Can you tell me anything more about them? I'm pretty new here.

Of course. The Animus can be...rather mischievous. This seems to be something a little more innocent and playful that they've concocted, but I've seen friends turn on friends because the Animus willed it. They control us and even if we are strong enough in our own worlds to withstand such actions, they seem to work past that. It can be very humiliating or even downright harmful in the end. All we can do is try to be prepared for whatever they throw at us and hope we can all still forgive each other after they've had their fun.

I see...that sounds pretty awful, actually. Do you think they're malicious, or just genuinely have a different definition of 'fun'?

It's hard to say. It could definitely be a definition problem, but even with that, they're still obviously dangerous. No one has been able to figure out a weakness or any way to undermine them. We've simply come to begrudgingly accept them.
